Wmlink/2step Login

Wmlink/2step Login: How do I Log In to the Wmlink/2step Portal

This can be confusing if you are a new Walmart employee. The TLDR is that you cannot access the specific Wmlink/2step URL or Wmlink/2sv URL from outside a Walmart location, it simply won’t work. You CAN, however, log in to the One.walmart.com platform, if you have set up Walmart 2 Factor Verification.

To log in to the Wmlink/2step portal, you are accessing Walmart’s internal system for Two-Step Verification (2SV). This is required for associates to access work-related applications (like One.Walmart) from personal devices or while off the clock.

1. If You Are at a Walmart Location (Work)

The easiest way to set up or manage your 2step login is while you are connected to the internal Walmart network.

  1. Log in to a work computer or a handheld device (TC70/72).
  2. Open the browser and type wmlink/2step into the address bar.
  3. Enter your User ID and Password.
  4. Ensure your Country and Location (Store, Club, or DC number) are correct.
  5. Follow the prompts to register your preferred 2SV method (Text, Voice, or the VIP Access app).

2. If You Are Off-Site (Home/Mobile)

If you have already registered for 2-step verification, you can log in through the public portal:

  1. Go to One.Walmart.com.
  2. Click the Walmart Spark logo (Login) in the top left corner.
  3. Enter your credentials:
    • User ID
    • Password
    • Country/Region
    • Location/Store Number
  4. The system will then prompt you for your 2SV code via the method you selected during setup (SMS, phone call, or app).

Common Troubleshooting Tips

  • Initial Setup: You must be on the clock and on the Walmart network to enroll in 2SV for the first time. You cannot set up a new 2SV profile from home for security reasons.
  • Symbol/VIP Access App: If you are using the app-based method, ensure your “Credential ID” from the app matches what is registered in the system.
  • Forgot Password: If you cannot log in, you will need to use the Password Self-Service tool on the wire while at work or contact the Field Support help desk.

Note: Accessing work systems while off the clock should only be done for viewing schedules or paystubs. Performing actual work off the clock is against company policy.

Important Clarification: Off-Site Access Limits

You cannot access the specific wmlink/2step setup page from home or a personal network. That link is an internal “Wire” address that only works when you are connected to the physical Walmart network.

What You CANNOT Do Off-Site

  • Initial Setup: You cannot enroll in 2-Step Verification (2SV) for the first time from a home computer or phone.
  • Change Settings: You cannot change your registered phone number or switch from SMS to the VIP app while off-site.
  • Access the “Wire”: The full internal company intranet is only available on-site.

What You CAN Do Off-Site

  • Log in to One.Walmart: If you have already completed the setup at work, you can go to One.Walmart.com to check your schedule, paystub, or use the “Report an Absence” tool.
  • Use the 2SV Code: When you log in from home, the system will send the code to your phone (the one you registered at work) to verify your identity.

If you are at home and haven’t set it up yet, you will have to wait until your next shift to log in to a work computer and register. Once that one-time setup is complete, you’ll be able to log in from anywhere.
